Meet Josh

Josh Shapiro was born in Kansas City and raised in suburban Philadelphia. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester and his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Before running for office, Josh worked in public service and practiced law.

He served as a state representative and Montgomery County Commissioner before being elected Attorney General of Pennsylvania in 2016. As AG, he took on the opioid crisis, fought corruption, and defended Pennsylvania's election results in 2020.

Elected the 48th Governor of Pennsylvania in 2022, Josh has championed bipartisan governance, record education funding, infrastructure investment, and protecting individual freedoms. His philosophy: real freedom means the ability to make decisions about your own life.
